I’m a freelance writer who has been writing about computers since 1990. I prefer Macs, but occasionally write about Windows applications, too. I’ve written over 70 books and hundreds of articles and have recently begun exploring digital media such as video training material and e-books.
I’m also a commercial helicopter pilot and I write a bit about aviation and travel, but if you’re here, you probably don’t care much about that.
Recent & Current Projects
My latest book is Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard: Visual QuickStart Guide for Peachpit Press, which was released in August 2009, on the same day Apple released Snow Leopard. The book is widely available in Apple stores, as well as in bookstores carrying computer books and, of course, Amazon.com.
I’ve also got projects under way for McGraw-Hill and Lynda.com. Unfortunately, I’m not at liberty to discuss these projects until they are completed and made available to the public.
Availability for Future Projects
I’m always interested in new writing and training projects, including software how-to books, video training material, and classroom-based training sessions throughout the United States. I have extensive experience over a 20-year period in all of this type of work.
I’ve appeared at Macworld Expo in San Francisco, Boston, and Toronto as Conference Faculty starting in 1992 and am available for speaking engagements. My areas of expertise are Mac OS, Microsoft Office applications, and Internet content creation tools, including WordPress for blogging and Twitter.
Please contact me if you think you might want to work with me.
I am not interested in any one-on-one training or consulting projects at this time.
