Maybe I should just stick with Office 2004. Any input? I saw the Windows Office 2007 on people's computers at school. Wow! That new interface is absolutely terrible for anyone who has spent more than 1 month using a computer the 'old way'. I was very glad to see Mac Office using the 'old way'. But I too am downgrading back to Office 2004. The compatibility issues are a real problem, Word and Excel crash all the time, and Word has suddenly gone extremely buggy on me. I am a power-user of Word, particularly the drawing tools, and I do *not* like some of the things they have done to 'simplify' things and 'help' me. Good grief! So true! The Windows version is a real nightmare for a long-time user. I can deal with the Mac version, but I really don't see any reason to, given that there's no added benefit, the file formats are different, and macros aren't supported. So I have both versions on my MacBook Pro, but I don't think I'll be updating my iMac back in the office. When I'm using Windows, I just try really hard to avoid Office. My new laptop came with it installed and I thought I was going to pull out my hair and some body parts. It's a pain to save things as old versions constantly (and remember to do it) as my editors and clients aren't using the newer version either. I'm so with you. Very frustrating.
