The miracle of publishing.
I cannot believe how quickly the printer put this book together. I’m holding, in my hot little hands, a copy of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard: Visual QuickStart Guide. This book went to the printer on October 9 just two weeks ago. The FedEx guy just dropped off 25 copies.
This makes me feel pretty confident that the book will be in Apple Stores on Friday at 6 PM.
And, in case you’re wondering, the book looks great!

Congrats to you, Maria!! I know how hard you worked to squeeze writing on it into your gazillion other tasks in recent weeks, so this must feel pretty sweet to hold this book in your hands. Well deserved, I must say.

Congratulations on the book Maria. I’ve just checked on Amazon UK and it won’t be available here until 28 December :-(
Pity as I was hoping to buy Leopard on Saturday along with your book.

David, that’s got to be wrong. While I’m pretty sure it won’t be in the UK on Friday with the software release, I bet its there much sooner than 28 December. I’ll ask Peachpit what they think.

Andy, what amazed me was getting it so QUICKLY. I had 2 cases of it before it was allowed to be in the stores. To me, that meant that the book would be in stores in time for Leopard — that’s why I was so happy.
