I found you by accident one day and subscribed out of curiosity. Each time your subscription comes by I am in such need of something you are disscusing.Today it was on the value of content and not just quantity. As a recently new blogger this is important to remember when all the voices I hear seem to be advocating bulk content even if you don’t personally write it just for SEO reasons.What advise would you give around SEO and blogging?

For the record, I don’t do anything special to rank highly in Google. I think it’s dumb luck. I don’t even bother with Technorati tags anymore.

Your comment suggests that you think blogs rank better in search engines than regular sites. Is that true? I’d like to read more about that if you have any references you’d like to share.

that thing you mentioned at the bottom of the post..fresh content, frequent content that includes the keywords that people are using to find what they are looking for.

You show up towards the top of the Google page because of the bloglike nature of your site. You can call it a blog or you can call it a website, but the structure and the way you manage it is what makes it win on the search engines.

Anyone with a website should copy what you are doing.
